NICKY DREAD has been spinning SKA, ROCK STEADY and REGGAE on CFRU-FM since 1979. THE CROOKED BEAT covers all styles, ages and origins of Jamaican music. The radio program's musical sources include Nicky Dread's collection of over 2,200 releases (CDs, albums, 7" 45s, cassettes, etc.) and CFRU's library with over 600 CDs and vinyl albums. The collection is augmented by drawers of clippings, and some serious databases of Reggae Recordings, People & Anniversaries. |
